How are spectacle frames made?

Update:2022-07-01 00:00
The most common eyeglass frames have two lenses attached to a frame that fits under the nose. Lightweight materials are used to relieve the burden and squeeze of these "nose pieces".
In the colonies, glasses were imported and very expensive until glass-making technology in the United States improved enough to develop the glasses trade. Just as curved and fitted temples were developed and adopted around the world, fashion has returned to a style known as Oxford.
This style consists of nosepieces and is improved with a more elastic and wearable bridge. Also known as pince-nez glasses, these glasses have nose pads mounted on small springs on a flexible nose bridge.
